FORMS

The following forms have been approved by TDLR and shall replace all former "Right of Possession and Control" forms from TXDOT. These forms MUST be provided to anyone that may request them at all licensed VSF's.

All documents are in .pdf format for ease of use.

This form is to be completed by the owner of a vehicle if the owner cannot be present to release the vehicle themselves. This form may be used for release purposes by anyone named in the document by the registered owner.

This form is to be used by the lien holder of a vehicle when retrieving a vehicle from a VSF.

This form should be used to allow an authorized person to inspect a vehicle in a VSF for legal, insurance, repair, or any other purpose sought for inspection. This is NOT to release the vehicle to anyone, just a tool to allow authorized persons to view and inspect the vehicle.

Used specifically for salvage Tow Operators when picking up vehicle from a VSF to transport to the salvage pool.

This form should be used when an adjuster or appraiser comes to inspect a vehicle in a VSF. This is NOT to release the vehicle to anyone, just a tool to allow the insurance company to view and inspect the vehicle.

Used for Immediate Family members ONLY when the owner of the registered owner cannot be present to release the vehicle.
